Since September, raging wildfires Down Under have razed 60,000 sq km of forests (that’s about 83 times the size of Singapore), killed 25 people, displaced 67,000 more, damaged thousands of homes, and left approximately 480mil animals dead.

Singapore Red Cross: SRC has pledged $50,000 and continues to raise funds for the Australian Red Cross Bushfire Emergency Response to provide humanitarian aid Down Under.
New South Wales Rural Fire Service: One of the world’s largest volunteer fire brigades has over 2,500 firefighters in the field right now.
Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park fundraiser: The island was home to some of the country’s rare and endangered wildlife, and wildfires have destroyed about one-third of it. Money raised goes to vet costs, extra holding and rehab enclosures and supplements for victims.

While it’s admittedly more than a little creepy, it’s also pretty fun and so Japanese to make a giant wearable replica of a beloved pet’s head. Though I’m not sure what occasion would be appropriate for a giant cat or dog head, but it will still be fun to walk around with them once in a while for a fun day out.
